Truck - 1991 K1500 RCSB
Engine - 5.3 out of a suburban
Transmission - 5LM60 or some version of NV3500 its been replaced and/or rebuilt so I'm not sure
Suspension - Belltech street performance shocks, drop shackles and torsion keys
Wheels & Tires - 285/70 17 Terra grapplers and newer oem GM wheels
ECU - Holley TerminatorX (wizard tune)
Exhaust- stock manifolds dual pipes running to a borla dual in/out resonator that is for a 2014ish 5.0 mustang. And at the back i have 2 universal borla s type mufflers.

Got the truck a few years ago bone stock step side with a rebuilt 350 and a wrecked/missing front clip. After getting a front clip from the wrecking yard. Then going through 2 engines i decided to swap it with a 5.3.
Future to do list/upgrades
Get a tune
Ac & cruise working
33" tires
Tonneau cover
Small single turbo
Paint

End goal is 6spd AWD but thats a dream at this point

And if anyone knows someone i need help finding someone who can do a very basic remote tune on a Holley TerminatorX or just someone who has a tune for a bone stock 5.3 manual trans not trying to get all the power just want it to run smooth without close loop comp randomly maxing out

I have a turbo 5.3 (manual trans) run by the T-X. The wizard tune is not that bad. If you keep applying the learn table you will eventually dial in your fuel to what your engine wants. I set my AFR and timing to be pretty conservative under boost.

What problems are you having? The only problem I had at first was it would want to die when I pushed in the clutch and coasted to a stop. I fixed it by getting the IAC right.

Mainly full throttle itll go than cut out but when it picks back up it really feels good than it cuts out again its i guess what you would call stuttering its all happening in a matter of seconds and when i looked at my data log it says closed loop is maxing out on and off.

Is the AF targets something you would change on a wizard tune? And if so what would be ballpark something to put in for a stock motor? (I know nothing about tuning at all)

And by applying the learn table do you mean just let it do its thing? Also what would you suggest putting in for max closed loop comp + & - limits since it's stock on a wizard tune, I think its like 50 percent automatically

I haven't done the wizard in a while, but I'm pretty sure idle and wide open throttle AFR are some of the things it asks.

Here's an example target AFR table from a base cal that comes with the software:

You must be registered for see images attach

The ECU builds up a table of fuel corrections over time, you can merge those into the static table so it's starting from a better point. I think you need to use the actual software for that. It's free, but you have to buy a CAN bus to USB adapter cable and have a laptop or PC nearby. Once you go through a couple of cycles of learning/merging you can set it be more conservative on the compensation.

If it's cutting in and out, I think you have other problems. Are you running knock sensors?

No knock sensors and I've been on the software just not directly I've done it through the SD card.

I should let you know if I turn off closed loop comp it quits 100% but it has NO power.

How do you "merge" the table of corrections to the static table? Or what do you mean by that?

And thanks for the answers!
