Hello there,

I have my stepside that I’ve ripped all apart and starting to go back together redoing a lot the wiring, found this single wire connector looks like a knock sensor but that’s already connected and done it comes up near the Ac and intake out of the main harness will include a picture. I’m just wondering if it’s not used on this truck I have looked at to other 1500s and haven’t found it.

Thanks for any info

That’s what I figured so I should be safe to hide that wire and pigtail away in the loom?

If I remember correctly , the R4 A\C compressors on 88 to early 90s trucks had a switch
On the back of them that took a 1 wire plug like that .

Yepper! If your R4 compressor has been replaced that switch probably won't be there.

It connects to the back of r4 compressors. My 88 has it too. Save it, no auto parts stock em, at least the ones in az don't.
