An eraser wheel will remove the glue, but it's a bit of a job. Try 'Goof-off' or 'Goo-gone' (hardware store) 'Zippo' or similiar lighter fluid works well, too, & it won't mess up your paint. It's Naptha. Same as what dry-cleaners use. But, it evaporates quite fast, so you can only do about a foot or so at a time. It's cheap. Couple of bucks for a large size, which should be more than enough for what you need to do. It will remove whatever wax that you have on the truck.
Don't smoke near the stuff!
