You dont need to change the map sensor for the exhaust upgrade. When you replaced the sensor did you also replace the gasket where it goes into the upper intake? Also when you rewired it how far did you go with the wiring. Looking at my 6.5 the wiring for it runs down and under the intake. I know from reading on other forums that with the harness running under the intake causes issues. As far as I know you cannot bypass it as the ecm uses it for monitoring the boost levels.
Thank you so much. I did order a new MAP sensor & harness, there is a break in the wiring right before it goes under the intake. I did not order a new gasket for the MAP sensor though, I will look into that too. How do I know what "bar" the sensor is? What is the difference?
I have done a lot to this motor, with great success. It has the PMD relocate, the vacuum pump delete with new serpentine belt & manual turbo wastegate controller, exhaust temp gauge, boost gauge, water pump/fan/fan clutch upgrade, 4" turbo back Diamond Eye straight pipe, & K&N Filter.
