so I have done a little searching and couldn't find anything very cut n dry, hoping someone here has experience/answers!
I have a nv3500 out of a 97 chevy 4x4 and the shifter has a ton of play in it, is there a way to fix this?? I have been dealing with it for awhile now ever since I did the swap but it is very annoying and enough slop that it actually makes finding gears difficult
I already replaced the plastic bushing that clips onto the bottom of the shifter ball and slips into the cup on the top of the trans which did help a little
Is the slop I am experiencing in the shift tower? would I be able to get a different shift tower and fix the problem? or buy something to fix the shift tower?
Or is the tranny it self to blame for the slop?
I know there is a lot of nv3500 haters but a nv4500 is not in my budget at the moment
