I am replacing the TC on my 99 Tahoe and I noticed there is about a 1/4 inch gap between the flexplate and the TC mounting holes. I can get it flush when I tighten the bolts, but I don't remember a gap. I felt the three jumps when I installed it on the trans so I was seated but doesn't feel like it should come back from there. I am ready to fire the engender up for the first time after this rebuild but want to double check. Last thing I need is a new trans.

The gap is normal. Carry on.

Use a pry bar and pull it forward but make sure it spins freely first if it don't you need a rotor and vane kit it's about 15 bucks or if you run it and the converter didn't spin freely it's 260 bucks for the pump housing

Cool, sounds good. I just bought a s10 converter so wavy to get this thing running so I can try it out. Thanks.

It's in and works, but the engine is not doing so well. Can't get a break!
