Huge torque converter gap after trans swap

Allright so I’m a bit of a drunk I’ll admit: I forgot to torque down the bellhousing completely with my big muscles.


The gap is now true 1/4” I’m gonna slap some 1/8” washers on there and leave 1/8” clearance on the back side and call it good. Sound about right to you guys?

1/8" is near pefect, put the 1/8" washers in it to shim it to 1/8" and go.

washer must be within .001" of each other. use a micrometer or vernier caliper. I usually buy a pack of hardened washers and just find 3 that are the same.....
