Swapping a 97 vortec to a carburetor. Has anyone used or know anyone that has used a quadrajet carburetor with the electronic transmission. If so what do I need to make it work. I see the quadrajet has a tps plug on it. Thanks again for all the great help

I like Quadrajets, but there's no way I'd put one on a GMT400. Why are you trying? The factory fuel injection is pretty good once you replace the poppets with an MPFI kit.

Agreed I would not go with a carb on any of these trucks.

A Q-jet with a TPS (and maybe an Idle Speed Control motor) beats hell out of a 3310 Holley.

I'm semi-retired and this truck doesn't get driven very often. Probably just to work occasionally. I built a 82 bronco and sold it couple years ago, so I'm really looking for a project. I would like to make 400 hp if I can. Do you think the mpfi and a tune would get there?
