Are the tapered lift blocks measured at the short side or tall side? I have 2" lift blocks on my tahoe that are not tapered and would like to go with a tapered pair but do not want the rear to drop if the tapered ones are slightly shorter

Don't do anything until you get your tires. I've seen 285/75/16s fit with no rubbing on bone stock trucks, whilst others rub a bit.

Zone off-road has them cheap. Look for the tapered blocks. They fight axle wrap.

incorrect, with lift blocks youll always have axle wrap unless you go to a ladder bar setup or something to tie down the axle. tapered blocks just lift your pinion so your front slip yoke is still in the trans and not so far out that it starts whipping.
