My trucks a '95( not sure if its got the internal or external slave cylinder. If I go with a nv4500 from a '93 will I have to use the '93s slave cylinder?

Make sure the spline count on the t case is the same. Unsure of the internal/external years. You would probably have to run whatever slave is in the 4500.

I chose to buy an entire none running truck with the NV4500 for my swap. Mostly because it got me everything possible (except driveshaft, mine's a cclb, donor is a eclb) Lucked out with a $900 donor truck

$400? Jump on that like you're jumping on a trampoline drunk at 3am.

I can't find anything for less than a grand here. Ridiculous.

It will be an external slave on the 4500 and internal on the truck. Same deal as mine. The only thing I had to do was buy the line for it. I asked for a line from a '95 3/4 5 speed since that's what the donor was. I'm still using the clutch master from my truck with no issues. Be sure to replace the pilot bearing throw out bearing clutch fork and pivot ball as well.

Worth mentioning though many of you probably already know it, be sure to use the liquid gold (i.e. about $20/quart) GM Synthetic Transmission Lubricant (part # 12346190) - not Syncromesh - and not anything else, in your NV4500. That is, if it's still got the carbon fiber style blocking rings in it.

If it's already been built and they're aftermarket bronze you can probably use whatever you want in it.
