1999 GMC Suburban has trouble cold starting and wet starting

I've noticed my 98 was hard to start when raining yesterday and the day before, hopefully my new cap and rotor thats on the way will fix that!

Hey guys, I know it's been a while, but I pulled off the distributor cap and the contact points on the metal posts inside (can someone please tell me what these are called?) were green with corrosion. I cleaned it up and the rotor was also kinda yellow so I cleaned that too. The 'Burb has stopped misfiring!

But what sucks now is that the misfiring caused the engine to torque around. This, in turn, has caused one of the metal bolts on the starter to break off inside the block.
