1996 Silverado k1500- ABS light is on, Won’t shift into 4x4

Hey all!
I’ve got a 1996 Silverado k1500 with manual tranny and the 5.7TBI. Woke up this morning to a dead battery. Jumped it, truck ran fine. When I got in, ABS light was on and it wouldn’t go into 4x4. Normally not a huge deal, but we live in a hill and got a snow/ice storm last night Any leads as to where I might start looking before I take it into the shop Tuesday?

What is wrong with the transmission?

As for the Transfer case/axle disconnect, and the ABS:
Verify ALL fuses, including the big ones.

Connect a scan tool, find out what the computer is trying to tell you.
