This was an honest question I had. NO need to be a smart a** about it.
I'm currently doing a v6 to v8 swap and I'm having problems getting it to work. A couple of gents on here told me I also had to replace the blue prom chip inside ECU behind glove box to make my truck work. Since I didn't see one, I figured I would ask a simple question.

1996+ would be Vortec and all ECU’s are located under hood, regardless of engine.
