Either option should have no effect on ride quality other than being closer to the bump stop. I recommend at least 3 inches of travel from ride height to the bump stop and the spring should allow 2 inches minimum downward travel of the axle from ride height if you want any sort of ride quality.
if you can arrange more travel than these minimums the ride quality may actually increase!

When you lower it further you may need different shocks/shock mount extenders.

That is why the plan for my Dually. I plan to remove most of the leaf springs for a lower ride height and better empty ride quality and add air bags to keep the load capacity.

Well putting lowering shackles on a 2door Tahoe is a no go unless you modify the fuel filler hose, the shackles would of pinched the hose damn near closed.. I guess blocks it is
