Wow, I didn't know they installed TH400's in any GMT400;s. I just assumed a 4L80 of some sort was available with the new design of trucks.

If anything, the TH400 might be more durable than the 4L80.

The 4L80E is a THM 400 with an over drive that is electrically controlled
