I just acquired a ^ truck will not start and run I replaced the fuel filter and the coil and cap and rotor wires and plugs it will start and run for about 3 seconds like a champ then it's will slowly sputter out and die I was messing with the map sensor and if I tap the vacume tube on the port (constantly) it will stay running so I replaced the map still will not stay running it's getting fuel, sparl and air

Could it be the ecm or ecu or another pos emissions thingy or the throttle body
Injectors spray good

Also another note truck only has 1st and second and reverse on the stick everything els just rpms no momentum

What year? More details on the truck would help rule out weird things like the PassLock anti-theft.

Never forget about the ignition control module. I cant remember how those are tested though.

Pull it and take it to a parts store and they should have a tester for them. I know advance auto has one and im sure that orielys would too. A napa might as well. I don't know about Carquest. Ive seen them with machine shops in them to attached to a hard ware store and if you don't live in that town they turn there nose up at you and try there hardest to not help you.

Check your fuel pressure.
Damned good advice.

In MY driveway, I would connect a vacuum gauge to the intake manifold, and that truck would get a fuel pressure test, a compression test of all eight cylinders, and an exhaust back-pressure test.

There could be other tests indicated, but you say you have "good" fuel spray, and spark.

Wouldn't hurt to verify spark plug wire routing as they've been recently changed.
