Idk about 3.73 being the most common though. I can trip over 3.42 all day long but hardly ever see 3.73 since that is what I need...

i think it was more common in the HD1500 14b than the 3.42 though

I been looking at 14b, hell I've found some with 3.08s....

Ive seen one 3.73 an by the time I had the $$ for it it was gone. I must just be missing them all.....

I'll definitely ask him to take the cover off before I buy it. Calling him today to ask when I can come take a look at it.

One would think that 3.73's would have been more prevalent in these???

308 in a 14b was behind a 350 or 400 trans. like running 342 on an 7r4.

So I went and looked at the rear end today. The gears are 3.73. Asked the guy if he would take $200, and without hesitation he said yes. Now... I have the time to do a disk brake conversion before I put it on....eventually. I need to start a never ending build thread
