Header wrap & spark plug boots...

Wanting to put some headers on soon, and wondering about your opinions on these two things. I`ve seen people wrap their headers completely, and seen no wrap too. Also if I don`t wrap them, should I run the little spark plug protector boots? Some people say these are a gimmick and some run them...

Where can I buy 4.10 gears for a good price?

I`m looking into getting new gears for my 89 K1500 ECSB. I have already gone up from stock to 285 75 tires and it caused a little bit of "lag" on acceleration. Currently running 3.73s and using the speed calculators I found online, the difference at 2200 rpms in OD on a 700R4 is about 7 MPH. It...

breakerless distributor in a stock tbi truck???

Will this type of distributor work on my truck (89 k1500 5.7) Found on CL for cheap and I need to replace mine in a bad way...

1989 K1500 "Rusty" work in progress

Well, here it is... after I have owned five 75-82 Chevy C-10`s, and a number of other more OR less memorable vehicles in-between, I finally got my hands on a GMT 400 style 89 Silverado 4x4. It`s my driver for now, but I`d like to mod it up to my liking :) I`ll post pictures as progress comes...
