    99 5.7 vortec bogging down and missing

    I picked up a 99 Tahoe tonight and the first thing I'm havin issues with is it is bogging down and missing when trying to accelerate or if its in park or neutral and you give it gas once it gets passed 2k it starts to fall on its face. What issues am I looking at?

    I am looking to buy Longtube headers and redoing my exhaust since the current one exits under the cab and drones horribly. What is the most recommenced brand I should buy?     What is the recommended oil pressure for idle?

    When the truck is warmed up at idle the gauge will read about 18-20 and when driving it goes up to about 40-42 does this sound normal for a vortec 5.7? I searched around and found many different opinions. The truck does have 147k miles on it and last oil change used 5w40. Would 10w40 help it...
