    98 1500 4l60e clunk at 45-50mph - lockup?

dad got a 1500 with overheating issues, we pulled the engine, cleaned it up, replaced the rotten intake manifold(at coolant ports) and heads. now it runs fine, but above 45mph if you let off the gas at all, it does a hard clunk. ujoints checked, suspension checked, no slop. I think it's the...

91 GMC 2500 died, fuel in the feed line, not getting to injectors

the fuel computer wasn't getting full 12v, so I jumped that, then it would run and immediately die. I put on the $50 adapter for fuel pressure and the fuel pump wasn't getting 12v. When I jumpered that and got proper pressure, the injectors stopped firing. I got tired of having a lawn ornament...

91 GMC 2500 died, fuel in the feed line, not getting to injectors

like I said, it has never worked. I tried two different obd1 adapters and both had communications failure or something. I've even taken it to shops(not the dealer) and they couldn't read it either. I've always just thrown parts at it and usually figured it out on my own - which is what it looks...

91 GMC 2500 died, fuel in the feed line, not getting to injectors

blew with my mouth, zero resistance it just flashes 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 so what is that? is that code 12 or just it saying there are no codes? or that obd1 port is a crappy way to diagnose issues?

91 GMC 2500 died, fuel in the feed line, not getting to injectors

I'm guessing it won't tell me crap from my experience with no start obd1 cars maybe I'll just toss on a carb mechanical dist rather than chasing my tail with this if the noid light and $50 schrader valve thing doesn't pan out

91 GMC 2500 died, fuel in the feed line, not getting to injectors

I have a 91 GMC 2500, 5.7L. was jumping our dump truck a few weeks ago and it just died, I figured maybe it ran out of gas - but it didn't . I knew the fuel pump was on it's way out(hard to start in winter) so I replaced with a 96+ fuel pump, tossed on new filter and relay, fuse good. I'm...

no cheap lockers for 6 lug open diff?

That's what I'm wondering too. gonna see what the local yard has in stock. they put g80's in some cars and we cut the weights off so it stays engaged at higher rpm's, can you do similar with the ones in these trucks? a $300 locker was ok, but a $200-300 g80 would be ok too. really don't want to...

no cheap lockers for 6 lug open diff?

this is a truck I just run to lowes and pick up lumber with and sometimes move crap around in the yard. not a daily driver, I barely put 5k miles on it a year. I'm just getting tired of getting stuck for no reason than a one tire fire

no cheap lockers for 6 lug open diff?

So my 91 2500 2wd gets stuck in wet grass with an open diff. I was looking for a cheap locker(powertrax for $300-400) but summit says there's only one for my rear end and it's $800+ what are my other options? find another axle? call somewhere else? Weld it and give up? "The "small" GM 14-bolt...
