    a 1990 454 was never offered with a 700r4 or 4l60 in any trucks ss or not 1991 was 4l80e if you start putting 300 plus hp and torque to a 4l60 you will have a problem on your hands

    i have 1999 closed chamber 279 heads on my 1993 tbi 454 stock 91 ecm 4l80e 14 bolt with 373 gears does not have a working egr edelbrock tbi intake and i can cruise all day for 30 canadian bucks in 104 fuel

    sorry about the punctuation im happy i spelled it all correct for you the timing was the only thing that had changed like i said because of the etest i have not driven it far enough yet but it pings so we will reset the timing after i mark tdc again on the balancer

    i just checked the timing it was at 6 degrees btdc the garage that did the etest may have moved it and did not tell me i have it at 4 now no stink yet but it pings on low acceleration im running 92 octane ill try moving it back a half degree and try again tomorrow
