I wont have my truck for a couple of weeks, 1994 GMC Sierra SL single cab so i can go and look to find out. I have to have the transmission NV3500 rebuilt when get it and want to get my clutch and parts so I can have them ready when I take it to the shop. I want it to have a fairly easy clutch pedal so my wife can drive it when needed, there are so many options i am not sure what to order. First do all 94 GMC trucks have hydraulic clutches and second what clutch and parts would you recommend putting in to achieve the soft clutch but still be durable? I will be driving it daily and want something that will last also. Thank you for any advice. I have always done my own mechanic work but because of time I cant do this job and also have not messed with a manual tranny in a long while. Thanks again.

I had a tranny shop do my NV3500 a couple years back. I bought the new hydraulic clutch cylinder and reservoir already assembled. New throwout bearing and clutch from Rockauto. I just had the guy get the flywheel refaced while he was in there as well as replaced the rear main seal. I'm unsure which clutch I got but it's smooth and not hard to push at all. Good luck with it.

If you're going for a basic OE equivelent clutch that doesn't break the bank I'd just grab the standard LuK RepSet off of rockauto. If I remember correctly it was in the neighborhood of $90-$100 last time I bought one. So far I have zero complaints with them, they hold up well even if you tow a lot and/or frequently and the pedal feel is smooth top to bottom. Not stiff either.

I've also went the route of a Luk clutch off of RockAuto. I also bought a new pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing ect. as well. The clutch has the stock feel and travel of an OEM set. I recommend bleeding the hydraulic line with new fluid. I drive my truck hard and have done 4 launches at 3000 RPM in 4 Hi with no slip from the clutch. It holds well and tows good. I'm no prefect example to treating my clutch nicely but it holds up well to my driving. I'm around 300 hp and maybe around 350 ftlbs of torque at the wheel according to my butt dyno.
