    Code: Crank pos/camshaft pos correlation

Got my 98 all put back together and running finally but when it turned over a code popped up for crank pos/camshaft correlation. What does this mean and how do I fix it? It's a 350 Vortec

    Distributor replacement

It's a 98 350 vortec. How do I know if the valves are closed?

    Distributor replacement

So, I might have made a big oops. Putting my motor back together and I have a new distributor but unfortunately taking the old one out I didn't mark anything and I turned the motor with intention of adjusting the valves but was told the distributor has to be in first so you know which stroke...

    Valve adjustments?

Okay. Thank you. Just concerned. I've had enough broken parts been discovered in this project. Didn't wanna create more.

    Valve adjustments?

I know doing this bogs down the motor until it corrects for the adjustments. Is it gonna hurt it to do that much then crank it?

    Valve adjustments?

I recently had to replace both cylinder heads on my 350 Vortec. What are the vale adjustment specs and how is the proper way of doing it. I had to do it once on the passenger side. Which my grandfather did it while the engine was running. Unfortunately I can't do that on the driver side without...

    Misfire …again

No, it's stock cam. This stuff is scary enough as it is without altering the pins. The thing with doing that though is that the stud is bent over and the hole where that stud is, is cracked. It's history.

    Misfire …again

Was definitely a rocker issue, the damn factory defect where the studs come out happened again on the opposite side of the last time. Downside is the new studs are too big so I took off a little bit to make it fit but I didn't take off enough and cracked the head putting in the new stud and bent...

    Misfire …again

Yeah I figured that after I changed out all the electrical components related to it.

    Misfire …again

The rocker came off the stud and push rod on a different cylinder last time it misfired, I just haven't gotten to that yet on this side. I did check the compression and it has none. The spark plug and spider injection is working fine so I'm looking into the mechanical portions prolly gonna...

    Misfire …again

My stupid Vortec is misfiring again. Last time it was cylinder 8, after much digging and trial and error I discovered it was because the stud the rocker was sitting on had come out. So simple fix, put in a new one and redo all the settings. This time it's cylinder one, fortunately easier to get...

    Bent Chassis bumper bracket

bad news, in straightening the bumper it revealed the body is tweaked back as is the entire front part of the frame. Which answers a lot of problems ha.
