    Need some cam experts.

I’ve decided I cant help myself and I’m going to swap cams on my Weiand 177 powered 383. I feel like the current cam, a retro fit crower 238/240 .555/.559 on a 110 lsa, is just robbing power potential and I feel like with almost 20 degrees of cam overlap im getting a lot of exhaust reversion...

    The need for traction

I have a 95’ single cab with a built 383 and a weiand 177. Carb motor. Probably making close to 500 wheel I would guess. It’s got a 2/4 lowering kit, cal tracs and some street radial 275’s. Stock diff with a Yukon limited slip. 3.73 gears and an AR5 5 speed trans swap. Stock style shocks. I...

    Scatter shield

Nothing that cool! The 177 is one of there smaller blowers. Unfortunately no max rpm specs. I wish there was some info like that. Nothing available though.

    Scatter shield

It’s a supercharged 383 small block. Weiand 177 running 6psi. Fully forged, aluminum heads, hydraulic roller. No dyno numbers but I’d say around 475-500 at the wheels.

No sir. Rpm limiter is set to 6,000. I understand hp is calculated based on torque. I just don’t believe most people realize it so I just speak in HP numbers.

    Scatter shield

I'm making about 500rwhp. I have an AR5 transmission from Colorado swapped in using a Fabbot adapter plate. I'm very happy with the trans. I added a Core short throw shifter as well. That being said I ordrered a stage 4 clutch from Fabbot. It is rated for 750whp. So its definitely overkill but...

    Weiand 144

You are correct. I like that you responded with the name that you have lol. I’m curious what the stock pulley system will do?

    Weiand 144

I just bought a lightly used supercharger. Unfortunately it was advertised as a 177 and is in fact a 144. Currently I have a fully forged 383. 9.8:1 compression. I know, a little high for a blower but I only wanted to spin 3-5 psi. I will retard the timing and be running 93 octane. With it...

    521Dragy

Quick specs on the truck 95' 2wd 5 speed (AR5) transmission and a built 383. Promaxx heads, 236/240 hydraulic roller .550ish lift. Carb motor with a Holley street avenger 770. Just got a dragy unit. Found a safe road and did a couple pulls. Best E.T I could get was 14.16 at 94.56 with a very...

    Promaxx 200 dyno before/after porting

I’m really tempted to pull the heads (Promaxx maxx series 200) off my 385 SBC and have them professionally ported. They have CNC’d runners but I’m sure some pocket porting etc would help. How much is really the question. Anyone have some before/after results of dyno numbers when getting heads...

    383 wet nitrous kit

Yea, the burst disk would be installed either way. I've seen what happens when the bottle explodes! Not pretty. Probably the standard 10lb bottle. It's a single cab, though, and I don't think it would fit behind the seat? They do sell the incognito kit and the sneak pete kit but I haven't seen...

    383 wet nitrous kit

LOL just a bad angle in the picture then! I was joking anyways lol. How did you wire that nitrous shut off switch? Where do you keep the bottle? For some reason I don't want it to be in the bed of the truck, but I live in Texas and i'm worried about keeping it inside the truck.

    383 wet nitrous kit

Looks like a street truck? I also can’t decide if nitrous is stupid for a DD/street truck that sees little to no track time. I guess it’s not really different than running big turbos/supercharger on a street vehicle though. Side note - you are brave running that fuel connection right about the...

    383 wet nitrous kit

I have a 95 single cab 5 speed with a carbureted 383. Fully forged set up. Looking to add a small shot of nitrous. 75-125hp. I want to go with a wet kit, how do y'all set up the extra fuel side? I have never run nitrous before so it is all new to me. Currently I have just a single regulator...

    Carb guys in here?

I appreciate all the info. I have been tuning on carbs for a couple years now. I am by no means an expert, but I have read a couple books on them including the David Vizard version of the book above. I'll look into buying that one as well. The secondary tube mod is used on the street avenger...
