28 or 30? Rear outs are usually 32 I think, the front outs are a mix match of different sorts, some slip, some fixed, not usually 32 I thought, @88GMCtruck would know better maybe

Very good info! The RPOs you posted are what seemed to make it the higher GVWR, F44 is the primary qualifier as is C7E and YD6 for the heavier springs. From what I can tell, the rear stabilizer bar was not linked to the higher GVWR, it's just something Chassic Cab trucks had.I've got some info for you guys. I towed a 1997 C3500 with the 11,000 pound package back in May. I have no idea where the truck is now but I was able to reap some info from it when I hauled it. I was shocked to see the 11,000# number since I thought all normal 1-ton trucks were 10k and the HD was 15k. This truck had a 6.5TD and a 4L80e. Also had tow hooks installed at the factory.
From what I could tell, it had a normal 14b dually axle and no special Dana 80 like the HD. I guess I never took a picture of the door tag with the GVWR (I remember it being 11k when I opened the door when I hauled it), but I did look the vin up with Compnine and provide screenshots below. No G80 package either.
If I was to guess, a 12,000GVWR truck probably has 4.56 gears and that's it, possibly being 4x4. But I've personally never seen one. Next time I see a C&C K3500 I'll check the door.
Some RPOs of importance on this C3500:
C7E - GVW RATING(11000 LBS) 11000 LB GVWR(C7E)
YD6 - SPRING,REAR(BASE EQUIPMENT) RR SPRING(YD6)
GT5 - AXLE,REAR,4.10 RATIO 4.10R(GT5)
F44 - CHASSIS EQUIPMENT,HEAVY DUTY HVY DUTY CHAS(F44)
F61 - SHAFT,REAR STABILIZER RR STAB SHF(F61)

Hopefully this info is helpful to someone!!
That is only in early (88-early 90s, can't look up the years here at work) 1-ton trucks. The Dana rear axle wasn't around in the later years and didn't appear to apply to anything 11k/12k when I looked in the EPC last night. These trucks came from factory optioned for a Dana 70 HD as well just to throw another curve in
