There is a gasket available for it though if it makes you feel better. I think they are in a set made by Dorman in those red Help! boxes. I don't know the part number though, sorry.

Nah...If you ran it without a gasket without issue I have no problem running it without a gasket :) I'm looking forward to getting my parts in so that I can get this done!

Mine has not leaked and it has been 4+ years. the adapter sits flush to the block and the seal on the oil filter is what seals it all to the block, be sure to coat the rubber seal on the filter well before installing.
