It idols pretty low, I can't tell a difference between when I start it at home on my way to work, or when I get to work and its running in the parking lot.

Replace that thing, it should idle way higher at cold crank than at warm idle. Get an AC Delco or Delphi one though, only a few dollars more.

I should also invest in a tach. hen I wire a tach, it's just the solid wire off the back of my distributor, isn't it?

Could be the CTS, MAP or simply needs a tune up. When is the last time it got plugs, a cap and rotor?

Not while I've had it. But your missing the fact that it only does it when it's warm. I don't think it's a tune up.

Actually I'm not missing that fact. Plugs, wires and a cap and rotor can cause issues when warm if they are bad.

Sat it was plugs or even vires, or cap. Now, they will cause issues with combustion, even if they only did it while they were mom. But even when mine is warm, sometimes it;s fine.
