I like it!
Me too!!! Lol
Woman thought it was silly to spend the money on it(of course) but SHE looks and said "that's a cool color are you painting the rest of the truck that way".
When the boy and I put it on I had even said I like that satin black look. It's not shiney, not dill like a flat black........so maybe that's the route I travel. Time will tell.

You gonna keep the visor on there?
O hells ya I am!!!!!! Lol
I think the combo of the visor and cowl hood give it a "mean" look.
And it actually works to keep the sun out, weird I know. Down the road I will try and find some LEDs to put in and tie into the marker/signal lights. And maybe.....just maybe, take the screws attaching it out, install rivtuts and use spike bolts!!!!! Make it meaner looking!!!
There will be a theme with this truck, and that would fit perfectly.

Got the bumper off and rollpan 75% installed. Going to have to make up some "struts" to secure the bottom so it doesn't flap around like a arsehole in the wind. And they will help with fitment as well . Of course it's not a perfect bolt on fit. Had to make a little notch on the driver side to clear the bolt. And then a little on the passenger side where it rolls down. Overall, I'm ok with it. Some tweaking later on, but is what it is. Almost wish I had a fleetside so I could just weld it on, but us Lucky stepsides owners have to make due.

just looking at the hood and bumper.... that truck is gonna growl when/if it's satin black

any thoughts/plans on the step tops?
Thanks.....I'm definitely leaning to the dark side. Both my other trucks are black, woman's journey (which I would only pay for if it was black) and my Harley I sold was black. ALL my t-shirts are black etc.
I do have a plan for the steps.....I don't wanna give it away too much....but I also have a fetish for black diamond plate.

Diamond plate looks cool in the right places, and can save a skinned shin when stepping on in the wet.

I hear you... wife's is black explorer, I've had 6 400's and only 1 was not black (centurion xmas tree). Brushed stainless diamond tread is a significant design part of two current builds on black 400 trucks, to explain my curiousity. This is going to be a fun build to watch!
