Hey guys new to forum here just got my truck with a bell tech 4/6 drop. Well I noticed rubbing on hard bumps so I trimmed the bump stops and now it’s even worse. I got Under the truck and saw that it was rubbing the fender well. The fenders are rolled so no issue there just hits on the top of the well. I’m running 245/45/20 8.5 on the front. What can I do to correct this issue? Taller bump stops? I put spring stiffeners already and nothing. Shocks and springs new obviously. Thanks in advance!!

I mean you could put in bigger bump stops but then id imagine you'd be riding on them which is no good either. is the spring rate correct that came with the kit? sounds like its not supporting the truck like it should. I had the same problem but in reverse when I got my SAS done. I used 2.0 coil over shocks and it wasn't supporting the truck well enough when the load shifted . 2.5s were needed and corrected those issues.

Shorter tires, spring spacers, stiffer springs, or move the inners.
On my nbs I had a similar situation and used coil spacers to get the driver's side clearance I needed.

MRG-1285 (you'll need 2) will raise it around 2". That's the part number @ Summit Racing.

They are a rubber ring an inch thick that can go on top of the spring to raise the vehicle. They are around $20 each.

Of course, you will need an alignment after.

Another option is shorter tires on the front. That will give more fender clearance but will lower the truck further.

245/45/20 on a 4/6 REALLY should not be any issue at all. I ran this exact size on my '94 with the same drop and also with 5" front.

I don't understand why you would cut your bump stops if you had rubbing. You shouldn't have been hitting the bump stops in the first place.

Where on the inner fender is the tire rubbing? If it's toward the wheel opening on the fender, you don't have enough backspacing on the wheels. If it's rubbing towards the very top of the inner fender, you probably do have the wrong spring rate for your application. What year, model, engine, and what part # Belltech springs or kit, and shocks?

It’s at the very top it’s a 98 c1500 single cab 5.7L and the kit number from bell tech is 688ND

I know nothing about lowered trucks but curious if the passanger side inner fender has been opened like this and if its blowing road grim into the air filter? or has the oem air filtration been altered?
