I used some of his suggestions too. A word to the wise, don't believe everything he says. The biggest bang for your buck is tuning. The best way to tune is with a WBO2. I did use a 3-wire NBO2 in my shorty header to begin with, then installed the WBO2 in the collector of my JBA "Y" pipe. I bought a chip from him, after a while I went with the EBL Flash-II, tuned it further and gained quite a bit more performance over the "mail order" chip. HTHFound this TBI mods article interesting.
Have read it couple times and am using it and this forum to help keep my build on track.
Uncorking the exhaust is a decent start, but now I'm wondering if I will need a 3 plug o2 sensor conversion?
Do you recommend a specific NB02 that could hold me over for a while like you did?
Even though they're pretty much all made in China I've had good luck with AC Delco D303A cap and D447 rotor, 1984A ICM, Arctic MX4 thermal compound, and I used Moroso blue max wires (because I like blue ha ha) with 90* boots to help clear the header tubes. With slant plugs I still had to use DEI high temp wrap and boot covers. Right now I have an Accel coil, so far so good. I've had cheap ICMs and coils go out in less than 2000 miles.Do you agree with his spark plug/wires/cap/rotor advice?
It's down underneath but, here's the JBA "Y" pipe and the Thunderbolt 3 high flow cat (I think they're NLA but you can find other cats). You can see the O2 bung on the collector.Got any photos of where you installed your WB gauge?
