96-98 Vortec Alternator Upgrade AD244

Can someone check and tell me how many wires go to the pigtail on 96-99 trucks/SUVs? Is it just 1 wire in the second position hole?

got it in with no problems. just had to drill the left side hole bigger on the bracket for the bolt to go through and used the 1 wire plug and it's charging!!!

the numbers thats stamped on it is 15754097 so is this the same number for the 145 A ? and maby this is the larger case AD 244. I will do pics

any updates on this swap you did? How is it making out. I have a 94 and would like to upgrade my POS 85A alt. Can you post a few pics of how you did your swap?

so im checking around on ebay.. and i found some220 amp and 300 amp high output alternators for NBS... will they fit on the 98????
what would i have to do to make it work?????

its good if your putting in some subs or any high output electronics, and that sort.
