Got the trans solenoids and harness replaced. Torx screw head holding a shift solenoid stripped out. Not goodtimes.1hour 3tool job became a 3hour and 1/2the tools in the box job. Got er done though and now she's shifting perfectly with no noticeable slippage.
(I didn't take any pictures once the pan was down because i was covered in trans fluid for the remainder of the evening)
Decided to take it easy on Sunday. Went on a long test drive, got her up to 70, ran well. need to get a different gearset methinks.want to drop the cruise rpm a bit, thinking 3.73s should do the job nicely. Thought I'd pull the impact strips and eraser wheel the adhesive off, should be an easy 1hour job, nope. Every strip came off without a hitch, except the last door I did. Good amount of paint and a little bondo came off with it. Damn...
