Almost have the complete steering column assembly disassembled. Just waiting on the special tool for removing the pivot pins.
Going to retain the steering shafts, ignition switch case, the steering column support housing, and the steering column housing. Everything else will be replaced:
1. Transmission shift control assembly
2. Steering shaft U-joint sphere kit
3. Steering column sensor
4. Ignition switch
5. Multifunction switch
6. Springs
7. Bearing
8. Turn signal switch canceling cam
9. Pivot pins
10. Transmission shift control lever seal
11. Re-wrapped leather steering wheel (hopefully arriving within two weeks)
But, I think the steering column re-assembly will have to wait until I pull the dash, fix the wiring harness, replace the dash with an uncracked one (crosses fingers), and replace the heater core and evaporator.
I actually got bit by another bug. Been looking at a 99-02 (pre-cat eye) regular cab short bed 1500. Found a nice one for about $5500. So tempted to get it.
