Title says it all. I've been on the fence about purchasing a brand new TrueTrac carrier for my rear one-legger 10-bolt 1997 Sierra. I think I'd lean towards purchasing a used 14-bolt with a G80 GovLoc if I could find one nearby for a reasonable price.

:hmm:

10 bolt Gov-lock=avoid, avoid, avoid!!! Not worth the effort. Better off with an Eaton style, an Auburn, or a True-Trac.

Yep. Agreed. Unfortunately, I have the 10-bolt one-legger today - sigh. Winter is coming quick.

What do you consider cheap? I've a G80 for a 10-bolt that has a .342 ring gear on it.
I just picked it up on Saturday.

You are wanting to buy the whole 14 bolt SF axle? I know I could get you one for the ball park of $300 from my local yard but the shipping would probably kill the deal... It would probably have to be shipped freight...
