Won't start

Ok I just did a v6 to v8 engine swap I changed the flexplate, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, engine mounts and exhaust everything is plugged up and installed and serviced with new fluids now I'm to the part of starting and it won't start I'm getting frustrated now I put more gas in the tank and poured a little down the throttle body to make sure it's getting fuel and it does like a popping sound and only turns over but it won't start does anyone out there know what this could be

Distributor is not in 180*? Are you getting spark?

I'd bet money that this is your problem! Check the distributor out, being off by 180* will cause it not to start, backfire, pop etc etc
