Where to mount cb????

My truck is a 1994 1 ton so square style dash.

Ok everyone with a cb........ I have a cobra 29 that I am going to put into my truck. I know how to take care of installing it all so just looking for pictures and comments on where you have yours mounted. The good and the bad of where you have yours mounted. And I have the factory fold out cup holder on my lower dash so that takes away one area unless I move it to the side a bit. Thank you in advance.....

Yeah, it's a different style dash but the idea is easily adapted.

I mounted mine under the ash tray using the ash trey mounting holes. Don't like drilling into the dash lol. Had to put washers between the top of the cb mount to fill the small gap between the mount an bottom of ash trey. Had this same cb in 4 z71s in the same exact spot lol. Jus far enough back I didn't have a problem shifting into 4L. Pic is from when I pulled carpet to clean.
