Hey guys. Did anybody of you have problems with the stock wheel studs being to short when installing aftermarket aluminum wheels ?
I installed a set yesterday and the out nuts are flush with the stud. I find that a little bit on the short side?

Never. Are you sure you have the correct lug nuts for the wheel? Some aftermarket wheels require a shank lug nut where the lug goes deep inside the lug hole of the wheel. If you can post a clear pic of the lug hole that may help. Not all aftermarket wheels use the stock style conical seat lug nut.

I have run into this, but not on my truck. As previously stated, if the stud is even with the outside face of the nut once it is torqued, you are GTG.

Generally...torque is governed by the diameter of the wheel studs. There is a spec for the truck...C1500 FSM shows 120 ft-lbs.
