1997 Express conversion van, 383/4L85E and 4.10 geared 10.5" on LT275/70R16s gets 18 highway and 12-13 city.

99 Tahoe LT 4 door 8.1 with 425hp mercruiser cam and headers/4L85E with 3.42s and 33" tall P305/50R20s was getting 17 mpg highway and 11 city before I yanked the engine to freshen it up. Had a burned exhaust valve and low compression in #6. Doing rings/bearings/gaskets and the heads. Same Tahoe with a cammed L30 305 and a 4L60E was getting 16 mpg city and 22-23 mpg highway.

'97 454/4L80/3.73 with 265/75/16 BF Goodrich T/A KO2s (55psi front/75 psi rear)----

Four data points:

13.3 MPG ---Best 40 gallon tank ever (99% driving Highway @60-65 mph)
11.4 MPG, 95% HWY@ 65-70 mph (data gathered over a total range of approx 1800 miles)
9.3 MPG, 60% City, 40% HWY, (data gathered over approx 500 miles)
8.8 MPG, Towing approx 9K lbs, 95% HWY @60-65mph (data over range of approx. 700 miles)

I have access to a truck scale and weighed the truck twice ---I recall approximately 6,850 lbs with me in it. Almost of all of the miles above have been @ this vehicle weight (always carry tow chains, straps, a toolbox, two spares, etc.)

'99 Chevy Suburban, C1500, 5.7 Vortec, stock, usually goes around partially loaded ( because large spaces tend to acquire things needing to be stored).... in Houston, Texas area city driving, usually gets 11-12 mpg. Not super consistent about figuring the mileage because sometimes I have to put gas in it between the payday fill-up every two weeks if we have extra driving. IIRC, the last time we went out of town, to Austin and back, which is around 400 miles, we got around 14? Roads and traffic didn't allow for using cruise control so we didn't. I think loaded and pulling the 6×12 U Haul trailer it got 13; the last trip with that configuration was April 2019 so I'm not totally sure.....
The big local car show we just had over Thanksgiving weekend, we load in and out with a rental box truck; it's too many Burb trips for the limited time to get in and out of the building.
