How in the world are you getting 13mpg? That would be nice

The truck only has 130k on the clock and a PO did a lot of stuff to the engine and trans, I'm unsure exactly what he did as it was 3 or 4 PO's ago. But it has mandrel bent exhaust, a 'tune' apparently, K&N intake. I have not opened up the valve covers to inspect but I think it has roller rockers also.

On top of that, I usually try to set the cruise control and follow semi trailers as much as possible in that truck.

Good timing.

1998 suburban K2500, 454, 4l80e, 4:10 gears. Tires are 245/65x16 very close to the ware indicators and speedo is almost right on according to gps.
Today she is getting new wheels and tires and it's about time too! LT265/75x16AT. The plan is to drive the same route/speed and check mileage and gps speed against speedo in the next few days.

'94 k1500 Suburban, 383 replacement ingine, dual exhaust, headers, 4L60E, stock wheels tires, 3.73 gears.

12-13 mph solo, 9 towing, some times 9.6. As RV'ing is our only source of entertainment, don't worry about gas mileage, ruins the fun.

1995 K1500 ECSB, with a 1994 350ci gasser bored out to a 383 stroker, 3.73 ratio, on 16’s, with 4L60E and OD.

14mpg usually, I’ve had it drop down to about 9mpg towing a 24ft damn near fully loaded enclosed tool trailer

Sorry, but I sometimes don’t understand some abbreviations. What does ST stand for?

My old GMT400 was a 1995 Suburban C2500 -- 454 non-vortec -- 4L80 -- 4.10 -- stock 245/75R16 tires. Empty commuting I averaged around 10 to 10.5mpg.

Towing my 9500# travel trailer was usually a stellar 6.5 to 7mpg. :driver:
