Whats everybodies normal operating temp

I have been wondering this for awhile now and figured id go ahead and ask this question. I have heat in the heater core but the gauge just barely registers any heat at all. When I have my 03 nbs once the truck was warm the gauge read about 190ish but if this gauge is correct my 97 is only running about 135-150*.

Ps. The temp doesnt vary much either

Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open. My truck did that years ago, takes FOREVER to heat up in the winter (hours and hours).

Stock your truck should run 195-210 range.

Yep, sounds like you need a new thermostat. Mine was stuck open and the gauge would barely move off the 100 mark. Changed thermostat and now it's a pretty constant 188.6[SUP]o[/SUP]

around 210 and it takes around 30 min to get there just idling or about 4 miles to warm up, my heater does not blow very hot or hard what could that be?

Sorry, I was wondering why I didnt get any responses to this thread but the supposed instant email for responses just came to me :dontknow:. Anyways, im going to change the thermostat but in the mornings while its cold the truck warms up pretty quick because my heater warms up fairly quick. The PO towed a 5th wheel pretty regularly so I guess its possible he got a cooler thermostat.
