What kind of transmission do i have?

Newbie on this form. I have a 91 K2500 with a 350 and five speed manual. I always though it was a NV4500 until i did some research and found out that they weren't in 91 trucks.

Is your K2500 a 6 lug (light duty) or 8 lug (heavy duty)? Yeah; NV4500 didn't hit the scene until 1992. I'll take a guess you're 6 lug and have the NV3500 or whichever variation was in 91 - HM290, 5LM60, etc. in other words the light duty 5 speed. No granny gear low.

NV4500 is very obvious as it has a crazy low granny gear you generally would not use under normal driving conditions. The case is cast iron and has a big PTO cover on each side.
