Got a sagging drivers side door on my 94 silverado.. have to slam it hard, if not it doesnt catch. also when I pick up on the door, it has play. are my hinges bent, or something worn out, like a shim? I saw a guy jack up the door of a vehicle to bend the hinges so the door would close. not siure this is the way to go abt it though. any advice appreciated.

There are fixes and door jacking is not recommended. Most likely the hinge pins and/or bushing are worn out which is a common problem with heavy doors. There are several threads on here with detailed fixes and I hope some of the others chime in with links. One thing I have seen over and over is that the Dorman replacement kits are junk.

Your bushings are either non existent or the holes are wallowed out. Cunningham Machine makes good oversized bushings
