Tired of fixing lousy engineering.
1999 C1500 Suburban.
Over the course of the past few weeks:
Noticed the recirc was no longer functional. Hit the button, and nothing happens. Still blowing cold air but you can tell it's pulling hot outside air through the evaporator.
Then, I started getting about 1/3 of my cold air coming out of the defrost leaving a frustrating patch of condensate on the windshield.
Then, the entire airflow started blowing out the defrost even with selector knob on vent. If I jiggle the selector knob, it vents start blowing again. If I hit a hard bump, the defrost starts blowing again.
Now, sometimes when I hit a bump, the HEATER starts functioning (blowing fully heated air).
Is my AC control switch panel likely shot, or am I looking at multiple actuator failures all of a sudden?
