Hello All.
Has anyone tried either of the items below? I'm more concerned about fuel economy since I'm still running too rich after changing both injectors in the OEM TBI.
Thanks!

Holley EFI 502-9 1990-95 5.7L GM Truck?

JetChip part #29005?

HOW do you know you're running "too rich"?

How old is the O2 sensor? Does it stay in closed-loop at idle? What are your O2 sensor cross-count numbers?
What are your short- and long-term fuel trim numbers?
What is your fuel pressure?

First Guess: A bigger throttle body and a performance chip will not improve "richness".

Black sooty but dry spark plugs. All TBI, ignition and emission parts are new.

All new parts are AC Delco? It does make a difference.

Not all new Acdelco parts are good parts.
But, on average, are better than most and are original equipment on our GM vehicles. I go with AC Delco when I can get them.

Yep, they come in 3 different tiers -
GM Original or Blue
Gold
Silver

I'll only buy GM Original Equipment if I can, even though they're more expensive!

They may have the same part numbers, but most aren’t even manufactured by the original manufacturer’s. I’m not saying they are all bad, but many are no better than other aftermarket parts. I look for the North American manufactured Acdelco parts.
