I have spark now. Before I had no spark. When I checked out the old distributor (after I had removed it) the pickup coil had absolutely no magnetism to it. That's why I asked if the coil was supposed to be magnetized at all times. If it is, than this is a good sign that the pickup coil was my issue and my timing is probably still off. I'm also going to replace all of the spark plugs today bc it needed to be done regardless.

Well it's alive again. Pulled all the plugs and fuel pump relay and started turning it over to get rid of any fuel. Replaced all the plugs with new delco ones and made sure I was tdc again. Checked rotor for positioning, hooked everything back up and the first crank it started right up even with the fuel pump relay and #1 spark plug wire removed. Thanks for all the help, much appreciated.
