Im taking it this week to be rebuilt. What parts do yall recommend to have a strong 4l60e. And also what stall converter should i do with. I gotta 97 with a slightly modded 350 vortec and 4.56 gears.

I just recently had mine rebuilt and they suggested 3-4 Z-pack clutches and a Trans-go jr. My transmission shifts a little firm but real fast on a up shift and a down shift, at least a hell of a lot faster than the last trans I had.

Well got it rebuilt and went with a 2500 stall converter. Its really sluggish off the line at part throttle. Think i should swap out for a smaller converter maybe 1800-2000?

I wanna say that a stock stall is anywhere from 1500-2000 not real sure. I would've stayed with a stock stall. That 2500 stall is gonna generate more heat too.

Did they advise the 2500 stall? I surely wouldn't in a 4x4. I'd go with a 1700-1800.
