I have a 2000 K3500 454 4l80e C.C. dually. Transmission has quit shifting. I purchased a used 4l80e out of a military humvee with 6.2l diesel. Every thing looks like a match. My question is will the torque converter from the diesel work with my 454?

According to the chart, 6.2l TC is a low stall and the vanes point to the left. The 7.4l TC is a medium stall with vanes pointing to the right. According to that I need a new TC. Is this correct?

On Rockauto the TC for a 6.5 TD it shows part number GM24221718 or TC Remanufacturing B81 (remanufactured is only option for both) while for the 7.4 it shows GM24220297 or TC Remanufacturing B81NS.

I found that also and several other manufacturers list the same converter for both. I'm going to use it and see what happens.
