A very observant driver might note the recovery charge cycle for a start. My truck is not a daily driver, I run it every other week until the voltage settles down to 13.5 volts.

If my voltage seemed higher than normal and the age of the battery was nearing end of life... It would be wise to start yearly capacity checks @AZ to avoid the stranded situation.
