So basically it’s the same trans but one is mechanical and one is electronic? Tbh I was hoping for an 80 but I figure it was utilized in 2500/3500. I think I’ll pull the 60 from the Yukon and send it out for a beefier rebuild.
No, it's literally the same transmission, GM just changed the name to 4L60 to line up with the new nomenclature. In 92/93 the electronic version was introduced, called the 4L60E.

Didn’t know that, I’ll have to pick some up and change it out.
Please do me a favor. make a note of your hot idle oil pressure and then when you change, the same hot idle oil pressure. Curious if there is any noticeable change and how much, if at all.
