Third door swap

I have a 1998 GMC K1500. I put a different third door on it and it needs adjusted. It sits too high and sticks out a little. The up and down is easy but the in and out I can't figure out. It still has welded on hinges and I can't find any after market bolt on ones so I will convert the existing ones to bolt on. I still can't get my head around the in and out?

Thank you. I have about decided to cut the hinges and remove 1/8" and then weld back. I still have the original door but it is eaten completely up. Thought this would be better than fixing it. Not sure now.
